In my continuing series of articles about three habits of highly successful people, today I am going to look at the habit of being prolific.
So far in this series of articles I have already talked about the first two habits of highly successful people:
So, today we will look at that final habit – being prolific.
What does it mean to be prolific?
The dictionary says:
producing much fruit or foliage or many offspring.
In terms of this discussion for the Ways to Make a Living Site, it simply means to produce as much of your work product as possible. But, don’t just spew out any work product that you can produce. No, produce large quantities of quality product. If what you are producing is poor quality simply for the sake of quantity, well, you might as well pack it in. You need to produce quality product in large quantity.
My product that I am focusing on is creation of content. Content includes things like articles, data or other things that people will read and consume. I want to produce quality content, and I want to do it on a very regular basis so that people will keep coming back for more. If you produce content inconsistently, people will not get into the habit of coming to see what is new on your website.
So, basically, if you have been reading this series of articles, you know that I am writing about the 3 habits of effective people, as outlined by Kim Roach in her Podcast, 10 Minute Marketing Show.
I have been prolific
Over the years, when it comes to the creation of content, and my other products over the years, I have always been prolific. It is something that I believe in very strongly.
In fact, as part of what I do, I like to help people establish online businesses, and that usually leads to me offering them advice on how to succeed in what they are doing. One of my strongest pieces of advice over the years is that you have to keep doing it. Don’t stop. Always keep blogging or whatever it is that you are doing. You never know, that next blog post might be the one that puts you over the top. One thing is for sure, if you stop doing whatever it is that you are doing, you will certainly fail. You cannot succeed if you are not always moving forward!
This is something that I have practiced over the years, and will continue to do in the future.
Series Wrap Up
When I first listened to the podcast I was so excited to hear the big secret – the three habits of highly successful people. I mean, we all want to be successful, or to be more successful than we already are. So, I listened with great interest.
By the end of the show, I was surprised when I realized that the three things that Kim listed were all things that I already am doing! Yes, I have experienced some pretty good successes over my years of being an entrepreneur and an online entrepreneur. Maybe now I know why! I have been following habits that helped make me successful.
What about you, do you already follow these habits in your life? If so, why not do like me and try to be even more strict with yourself in following these habits? If you are not doing some of these things, maybe you would like to get started now and see if they help you reach the next level of success in your business and personal life!
